| Pirates need a good compass to find towns to plunder and to locate their buried treasure. We looked at quite a few compasses before deciding on this one. It is large and durable. The base is over 2" across and it's almost 3/4" tall. It also has loop on the side so it can be tied to string and worn around the neck. You may recall that in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Captain Jack Sparrow found the treasure cave by using a compass that didn't point north. Well, these are a bit like his compass, though they do point north most of the time — sometimes you have to balance them just right — but they are excellent for finding treasure. |

Now here's a skull that'll shiver yer timbers! It looks like it's made of actual bone and, with its gold-spotted red bandanna, eyepatch, and gold earring, with pirate hat and it is really impressive. This bank is 6" long by 5-1/2" wide by 6-1/2" tall and is made of a sturdy resin.. It is also a bank. There is a slot in the back of the hat where you can put your treasure coins, but the slot is not visible from the front or the sides. Later you can retrieve your coins through a hole in the bottom. Besides giving you access to your treasure, this hole has a wonderful added feature: just pull out the rubber plug and set the skull on a flashlight, turn out the lights, turn on the flashlight and the skull lights up with a wonderfully eerie glow. You'll think he came straight from Davy Jones' Locker! This pirate skull almost looks like the real thing and is sure to shiver yer timbers! |
