This is a 1 piece aluminum shaft with 7 shaft position lengths for the
lower rod to adjut to your length. Also uses the MineLab cam locking system
for added holding. Black Powder coated with stainless steel hardware.
What you get with the purchase of this Lightning Rod for an Excalibur
is the upper handle, the arm rest, velcro strap and the stainless hardware
to put your Excalibur metal detector onto this rod assembly. You also
use your lower fiber rod that the coil is attached to. We only offer the
Excalibur Lightnig Rod for the newer blue model Excalibur only. The blue
model is what Minelab sells today. Both the Excalibur 1000 and the Excalibur
800 will fit on this handle assembly. The new blue model is shown in the

The Lightning Rod overall length is 33" long. From the handle to the lock cam it is 20" long. The Lightning Rod balances the detector and lets you swing the Excalibur for hours longer than the factory set upper rod assembly.
